There isn’t much that you need to do on a regular basis – just a few things:
- Watch the Forum messages on the Group’s Google Groups site at http://groups.google.com/group/pacificforum?hl=en for new updates to download
- Compact your database monthly – do this by selecting from the database’s main menu: ‘Data Admin’ > ‘Compact’> double- click ‘Continue >>>>>>>>’. Failure to do this will result in a massive database and potential problems. Jim Bavin does his best to send out a monthly reminder for us all to compact
- Make a backup copy of the following file: c:\DataAir\RunDataAir.mdbOccasionally this can become corrupted and cause the database not to open. Replacing it with a recent backup will do the trick
- Frequently backup your loggings from the home database screen via: ‘Personal Data’ > ‘Backup’
