Working with Access 2007/2010

  • Compared with Access 2003, the 2007 & 2010 versions need a few tweaks. These centre on the need to make the database files ‘trusted’.

    • Trusted Locations

      For Office 2007 onwards you have to set trusted locations.

      In Access, select File – Options – Trust Center – Trust Center Settings – Trusted Locations ‘Add new location…’

      Add C:\DataAir\ OK

      Same for

      C:\gfia\ OK

    • Security Level

      • For Office/Access 2003 you need to set your security level to low.
        • Should be Tools/Macro/Security.
  • For Office/Access 2007
    • In Access, select
    • File – Options – Trust Center – Trust Center Settings – Macro Settings – Enable All Macros – OK

This will enable updates to be run without disruption.
